What is Kidney Cancer?
Cancer that forms in tissues of the kidneys. Kidney cancer includes renal cell carcinoma and renal pelvis carcinoma.The tubes inside filter and clean your blood, taking out waste products and making urine. Kidney cancer forms in the lining of tiny tubes inside your kidneys. It happens most often in people over 40.It usually does not include metastatic cancer of the kidney, cancer that arose outside of the kidney and has spread to it.
Almost all kidney cancers first appear in the lining of tiny tubes in the kidney. This type of kidney cancer is called renal cell carcinoma. The good news is that most of these cancers are found before they spread to distant organs. And cancers caught early are easier to treat successfully.
About 50 gallons of blood enter our kidneys every day. They also process approximately two quarts of extra water and waste products. The waste and extra water is turned into urine.There are several types of cancer that can develop in the kidney, but renal cell carcinoma is by far the most prevalent.
It is estimated that 9 of 10 cases of kidney cancer are renal cell carcinomas.And cancers caught early are easier to treat successfully. However, these tumors can grow to be quite large before they are detected.They lie in your lower abdomen on each side of your spine.
