What are Medication Of Abdominal Pain? | Abdominal Pain Medications | Medication For Abdominal Pain

Many times, simple analgesics, pain medications, are enough to treat the abdominal pain. They are administered until the cause of the pain passes away, such as in the case of stomach irritation from food or drink. Care must be taken that the analgesics themselves do not irritate the stomach or intestines. Whenever medication cannot be taken by mouth, analgesics such as phenergan may be administered intravenously.Parietal cells in the stomach create hydrochloric acid to aid in the digestion of protein in food. The acid is very corrosive in order to denature the proteins and begin the process of digestion. Other cells in the stomach create a barrier of mucus to protect the stomach itself from being digested by the acid.

When the acid exceeds the protective capacity of the mucus, pain ensues. Some antacids prevent the creation of acid. Other antacids neutralize the acid. Once acid returns to normal levels, the pain usually subsides.Believed to work centrally by suppressing conduction in the vestibular cerebellar pathways. They may have an inhibitory effect on the parasympathetic nervous system.Acts in smooth muscle, the CNS, and secretory glands where it blocks action of acetylcholine at parasympathetic sites. Similar to dicyclomine in effects. May be administered IV.

Pain control is essential to quality patient care. Analgesics ensure patient comfort, promote pulmonary toilet, and have sedating properties, which are beneficial for patients who have sustained trauma or have sustained injuries.Generally safe in low-to-moderate doses in abdominal pain. Not recommended for biliary tract disease because of potential for sphincter of Oddi spasm.Generally safe in low-to-moderate doses in abdominal pain. Causes less sphincter of Oddi spasm than morphine but has potential to cause CNS adverse effects.

Sometimes, food is consumed that is difficult to digest. This food causes a bulge in the intestines. The ensuing cramping causes pain. Other conditions, such as gallstones, block the intestinal path, also causing cramps. Muscle relaxants may be used in order to relax the abdominal muscles and the smooth muscles that cause intestinal cramping.

What are Abdominal Pain Symptoms? | Symptoms Of Abdominal Pian | Abdominal Pain Symptoms

The symptoms of abdominal pain include cramping, gas pain, bloating, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea and tenderness in the abdomen, as well as rebound tenderness, in which pain increases sharply after pressure is released from the abdomen.Conventional medical treatments may help relieve the symptoms of abdominal pain but they do not address the root of the problem. By assessing the root of the problem, as natural medicine therapies do, chronic abdominal pain can be alleviated permanently.Discover why we believe that natural medicine treatments are the best way to treat abdominal pain and may end chronic abdominal pain forever.

Abdominal pain is a symptom. It may mean that the patient has a medical problem that needs treatment.Abdominal pain may go along with other symptoms. Try to keep track of the symptoms, because this will help the healthcare provider find the cause of the patient’s pain.Bleeding is a symptom of abdominal pain that can be a result of a serious medical condition, according to the Mayo Clinic. Vaginal bleeding may indicate a miscarriage or early labor in a pregnant woman, while blood in vomit or stool may be caused by an infection, inflammation or the rupture of an internal organ, which requires urgent treatment.

Changes in bowel functions are a common symptom of abdominal pain, according to the National Library of Medicine. Symptoms such as constipation and diarrhea may occur before or at the same time of abdominal pains. An inability to have a bowel movement or dark, tarry stools could be a sign of a medical emergency. Your stomach muscles may be tight, or your stomach may feel tender and look swollen.Blood in your stool, or blood coming from your rectum or vagina.Changes in bowel movements, such as diarrhea. You may also have constipation, which is when you have hard, dry stools that are difficult to pass, less often than usual.

Acid refluxing back from the stomach into the lower esophagus typically causes heartburn, felt behind the breast bone in the chest. However, in some patients, this acid reflux provokes spasm of the lower esophagus which is felt as a sharper pain at the lower tip of the breast bone. Because of their position, these pains cause a lot of anxiety, since patients may think they come from the heart. Heart pains typically start during exercise, and may be felt also in the neck and upper arms.Diseases of the pancreas cause upper abdominal epigastric pain; it is often felt also in the mid back, since the pancreas lies across the spine.

The pain ofpancreatic cancer is continuous and progressive. That due to chronic pancreatitis is usually intermittent, with no clear relation to eating. Upper abdominal pain and weight loss are typical symptoms of stomach cancer. In most people, abdominal adhesions do not cause any symptoms. Adhesions that partially block the intestine from time to time can cause intermittent bouts of crampy abdominal pain.

Severe, crampy abdominal pain.Nausea and vomiting.Swelling of the abdomen.Inability to pass gas and absent or infrequent bowel movements.Signs of dehydration, including dry skin, dry mouth and tongue, severe thirst, infrequent urination, fast heart rate and low blood pressure. If the bowel becomes strangulated, people typically develop severe abdominal pain, which can be either crampy or constant. The abdomen is distended and tender when touched even lightly. People with a strangulated bowel usually also develop signs of systemic illness, such as fever, fast heart rate and low blood pressure.

What are Abdominal Pain Causes? | Abdominal Pain Causes | Causes For Abdominal Pain

Abdominal pain is caused by inflammation, by stretching or distention of an organ, or by loss of the supply of blood to an organ. To complicate matters, however, abdominal pain also can occur without inflammation, distention or loss of blood supply. An important example of this latter type of pain is the irritable bowel syndrome. It is not clear what causes the abdominal pain in IBS, but it is believed to be due either to abnormal contractions of the intestinal muscles or abnormally sensitive nerves within the intestines that give rise to painful sensations inappropriately. These latter types of pain are often referred to as functional pain because no recognizable causes for the pain have been found at least not yet.

Diseases people worry about most are appendicitis, gallbladder disease, ulcers, infections, and pregnancy associated problems.Doctors also worry about the following conditions ruptured blood vessels, heart attack, liver and pancreas inflammation, kidney stones, problems with the blood circulation to the intestine, diverticulitis, and other diseases. Some heart attacks and pneumonias can cause abdominal pain.Diseases of the pelvis or groin can also cause a pateint’s abdomen to hurt. Many of us have had pain in out belly that is a result of a strained, or pulled muscle, from strenuous exercise, coughing, or vomiting. While it certainly hurts, pain in the muscles of the abdomen do not constitute abdominal pain.

Abdominal pain is defined as pain that occurs within the organs of the belly, or abdomen, under the muscles of your abdomen. There are a number of organs in your abdomen that may cause belly pain. Because the abdomen is a tricky place to evaluate, due to the many organs, for medical discussion purposes, the belly is divided into four sections, or quadrants. There are several infectious causes for abdominal pain. Gastroenteritis, or stomach flu, is the inflammation of the digestive tract that is usually caused by a bacteria or a virus.

It is most often accompanied with vomiting, stomach cramps and diarrhea. It is treated with adequate hydration, bowel rest and sometimes antibiotics as determined by the pediatrician.Other infectious causes include urinary tract infections which present with abdominal pain, burning with urination and sometimes fever. Strep throat can also present with abdominal pain accompanied by sore throat and headache. Both of these conditions are treated with antibiotics after evaluation by a pediatrician.Poisoning can range from mild causes to serious conditions that involve medication overdoses.

The child can present with benign symptoms that can quickly progress. For this reason, when poisoning is suspected it is imperative to call the poison control hotline, take the child to the pediatrician or seek emergency medical care. Stomach exercises won’t do a thing for your bloating, so it’s important to determine how much of your problem stems from this common occurrence.

Sometimes it can be difficult to tell if the bulge in your stomach is caused more by fat, bloating or both.Generally, if you are obese because of a bad diet then it’s probably safe to assume that you are experiencing both especially since a common cause of bloating is indigestion from eating the wrong foods.Another way to tell if your problem may be bloating is if you experience lots of discomfort after a meal. Gas or abdominal pains may indicate your food is not digesting properly. This can cause some serious amounts of bloating too.

What is Stomach Pain (Abdominal Pain)? | Pain In Abdominal

Abdominal pain can be one of the symptoms associated with transient disorders or serious disease. Making a definitive diagnosis of the cause of abdominal pain can be difficult, because many diseases can result in this symptom. Abdominal pain is a common problem. Most frequently the cause is benign and/or self limited, but more serious causes may require urgent intervention.Abdominal pain is pain that is felt in the abdomen. The abdomen is an anatomical area that is bounded by the lower margin of the ribs and diaphragm above, the pelvic bone below, and the flanks on each side.

Although abdominal pain can arise from the tissues of the abdominal wall that surround the abdominal cavity, the term abdominal pain generally is used to describe pain originating from organs within the abdominal cavity. Organs of the abdomen include the stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas.Everyone experiences abdominal pain from time to time. Abdominal pain can be mild or severe. And abdominal pain can be short lived or occur over weeks and months. Most cases of abdominal pain aren’t emergencies. But call your doctor right away if you have abdominal pain so severe that you can’t move without causing more pain or you can’t sit still or find a comfortable position.

Also seek immediate medical help if pain is accompanied by other worrisome signs and symptoms, such as bloody diarrhea or chest pain.Abdominal pain often occurs in conjunction with other symptoms, which vary depending on the underlying disease, disorder or condition. Other common symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal distention. The underlying disorder, disease or condition that is causing abdominal pain can cause complications, some of which can be serious, even life threatening. For more details about symptoms and complications, see symptoms of abdominal pain.

Diagnosing abdominal pain and its root cause begins with taking a thorough personal and family medical history, including symptoms, and completing a physical examination. Diagnosis may also include a complete blood count, which can help to determine if an infectious process, such as food poisoning is present. A chemistry panel is a blood test that can evaluate if abdominal pain coupled with vomiting and/or diarrhea has lead to the complication of dehydration. An urinanalysis can also help to determine dehydration and if urinary tract infection may be causing or aggravating abdominal pain.

These are all very common scenarios, and can be very concerning to parents. With causes ranging from gas or heartburn to appendicitis, it is very difficult for a parent to know what is causing the pain and just how serious it is. Do you call your doctor? Do you rush your child to the emergency room? What should you do?This discussion will help you identify the various causes of sudden abdominal pain, how to tell if it may be serious, and what to do in a variety of situations.

Hair Care – What is Hair Regrowth Treatment? | How can Regrowth Hair? | Hair Regrowth Treatment

Getting older has many challenges changes to your body, your eyesight, and maybe even your hairline. Hair loss doesn’t only happen to old people though. Many people begin losing hair while in their twenties, the prime of life. There are many options for hair regrowth treatment, some better than others, but all with the common goal of helping you begin growing hair again. This option is expensive and is considered a major surgery. The full, real hair follicle is transplanted down to the root. This makes it not only look like you have real hair, but you really do. There are also transplants using artificial fiber hair. Artificial hair doesn’t feel or look exactly like real hair, but may last longer than real hair that has been transplanted.

Making sure you eat a diet full of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals will make it easier to halt hair loss, and begin to grow more hair. Exercise, though not proven to increase hair growth, does increase blood flow and circulation, making it more likely that hair will grow more and fall out less. It’s not a secret that the most common hair loss causes are connected with hormones, precisely with the increased level of the male hormone dihydrotestosterone that can be present both in men’s and women’s bodies. It influences adversely the productive function of follicles, so in course of time the hair becomes thinner and thinner and eventually drops out and grows no more.

Provillus is a natural hair loss treatment that, on the one hand, reduces the level of dihydrotestosterone in the body and, on the other hand, gives your scalp and hair all necessary nutrients to keep them in good form and make them healthy. As a result, it revitalizes hair follicles and stimulate your hair growth. The effect is just amazing! The majority of those who have tried Provillus tell that they could see the results in just a few weeks after they started taking it. The natural formula of Provillus keeps our hair follicles robust by giving them the nourishment they require. In this way Provillus isn’t just about slowing down the hair fall it is about making your system strong enough for hair to go back again the natural way.

One of the major ingredients of Provillus is palmetto which is the most effective ingredient in stopping the baldness and then growing it back so efficiently that a person enjoys healthy hair for many years ahead. Clinical research proves that palmetto functions in the way to minimize the level of DHT in the system by not letting it enter the cell surfaceIf you’re still in doubt thanks to the supposed Provillus con continuously circulating, it may be high time for you to just try out natural cures in order to solve your baldness Problems. Then, you can be sure that it is safe for you and your health.

Massaging the scalp increases blood flow, which makes it more likely that new hair will grow. Aromatherapy can be used in combination with massage, using oils such as lavender and bay. This will have a relaxing effect, as well as increase circulation. There are supplements that are made with a combination of herbs and minerals, meant to increase hair regrowth and halt hair loss. These natural supplements have little or no side effects. The only reported side effect is with the topical cream irritating the scalp of some people, and that means only using it once a day. There are also oral herbal, all natural supplemental pills you can take.Whatever you choose hair regrowth treatment you choose, you are more likely to begin growing hair if you incorporate diet, exercise, proper rest, and improving your overall health, into your daily regimen.

Child Care – What are Jaundice Treatment For Children? | Adults Jaundice Treatments | Treatment For Jaundice

The treatment of jaundice in adults and older children will depend on the underlying condition that is causing it.After having different tests to determine the cause of jaundice, the appropriate treatment will be recommended.Anaemia is a condition that occurs when there is a reduced number of red blood cells or a reduced concentration of haemoglobin. There are different types of anaemia and each type has a different cause. If jaundice is being caused by anaemia, you may need to increase the amount of iron in your blood by taking iron supplements, or by including more iron rich foods in your diet.

Digestive disturbances must be avoided. No food with a tendency to ferment or putrefy in the lower intestines like pulses and legumes should be included in the diet. Drinking a lot of water with lemon juice will protect the damaged liver cells. The jaundice patient can overcome the condition quite easily with the above regime and build up his sick liver until it functions normally once again. A recurrence of liver trouble can be prevented with reasonable care in the diet and life style, with regular, moderate exercise and frequent exposure to sunshine, fresh air and adequate rest.

Research has shown that the liver has an excellent capacity to regenerate itself provided all essential nutrients adequately supplied. Diets high in complete proteins. Vitamin C. And B vitamins, particularly choline. And vitamin E can hasten its regeneration. Even after recovery, it is essentialities to maintain the diet for a long period to prevent recurrence of the trouble.

Treatment depends on the cause of the underlying condition leading to jaundice and any potential complications related to it. Once a diagnosis is made, treatment can then be directed to address that particular condition, and it may or may not require hospitalization.Treatment may consist of expectant management at home with rest.Medical treatment with intravenous fluids, medications, antibiotics, or blood transfusions may be required. If a drug/toxin is the cause, these must be discontinued.

Jaundice may be related to blood type differences between mother and baby. This condition results in the baby carrying antibodies from the mother that contribute to the breakdown of blood cells in the baby. Intravenous transfusion of immunoglobulin, a blood protein that can reduce levels of antibodies, may decrease jaundice and lessen the need for exchange blood transfusion.Exchange blood transfusion. Rarely, when severe jaundice doesn’t respond to other treatments, a baby may need an exchange transfusion of blood. This involves repeatedly withdrawing small amounts of blood, diluting out the bilirubin and maternal antibodies, and then transferring blood back into the baby a procedure that’s performed in a newborn intensive care unit.

Child Care – What are Medications For Jaundice? | Jaundice Medications For Children | Jaundice Medications

Phototherapy, intravenous immune globulin, and exchange transfusion are the most widely used therapeutic modalities in infants with neonatal jaundice.Phototherapy is the primary treatment in neonates with unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia. This therapeutic principle was discovered rather serendipitously in England in the 1950s and is now arguably the most widespread therapy of any kind used in newborns.Newborns have a high risk of developing jaundice due to having an underdeveloped liver that is not able to effectively filter bilirubin, the chemical that causes jaundice, from the blood.

Jaundice typically goes away after a few days, but it if becomes worse or persists for more than two weeks, seek medical attention. Treatment for mild to moderate cases of newborn jaundice may involve formula feeding or light therapy. If jaundice is suspected, not only is the skin starting to look yellow but the whites of the eyes are also becoming yellow. The urine starts becoming darker and usually the stools lighter. A simple urine test will show if bilirubin is present in the urine. A blood test can measure the level of bilirubin circulating in the blood stream.

Once this diagnosis has been made, it is essential to find the underlying cause for the jaundice. As can be seen from above, there so many causes that the specific tests required to depend totally on what the likely underlying cause is.Therefore it is essential that anyone who develops jaundice is seen by a specialist as soon as possible to determine whether the jaundice is a marker of a more serious underlying condition. In most cases, the sign of jaundice is identified based on the appearance of the patient’s sclera and complexion. The liver and spleen are palpated to check for enlargement and to evaluate any abdominal pain.

The location and severity of abdominal pain and the presence of masses in the abdomen, together with the presence of fever, help to distinguish among the causes for jaundice. The differential diagnosis of the cause of jaundice is primarily based on blood-test results.Liver disease is usually assessed from blood studies and physical-examination findings, but a biopsy may be necessary to clarify less obvious disease. A liver biopsy may be performed at the bedside. A thin, cannulated needle is inserted to draw a core of tissue from the liver. The tissue sample is sent for patholic examination.

Child Care – How Can Protect Children From Jaundice? | Prevention Of Jaundice In Child | Jaundice Prevention and Avoid

Jaundice often develops as a result of an underlying health condition and can therefore be difficult to prevent.Jaundice is related to the functioning of the liver so it is important that you take steps to keep this vital organ healthy and working properly. In order to do this, you should ensure that you lead a healthy lifestyle by eating healthily, exercising regularly, and not drinking more than the recommended daily amounts of alcohol.Take care of your liver. Drinking alcohol can damage your liver and can cause diseases like liver cirrhosis, pancreatitis and alcoholic hepatitis. Try to avoid drinking alcohol and if you do, keep it to a minimum or reasonable amount.

When going to countries or places where malaria may be present, try to get yourself vaccinated from the disease first before going. Other vaccinations you might want to take include hepatitis A and hepatitis B vaccinations. If you suspect that the food and the drinks that are being given to you or those that you bought from unhygienic sources might be tainted with the hepatitis virus, do not eat or drink them. Try to get your food from clean and hygienic sources only or prepare them yourself to reduce the possibility of hepatitis which can cause jaundice as well.Practice safe sex or be monogamous. Since hepatitis B is transmitted through unprotected sex, you should practice caution when doing it with a new partner.

Jaundice is a yellowish staining of the skin and eyes that can appear in newborns and adults. Adults develop this condition because of a disorder involving the liver, and jaundice is usually a symptom of another condition. In infants, this condition is caused because of a chemical called bilirubin, which builds up in a baby’s blood. Everyone’s blood contains bilirubin, and it is naturally removed by the liver. A pregnant woman removes the bilirubin from the fetus’s liver, but it can take a few days for a baby to develop this function. For example you need to avoid buttered popcorn when your bilirubin levels are high as fat in any form is restricted.

But if you feel like eating popcorn, you can make them at home by adding minimum amount of fat or no fat to it while preparing. Avoid eating any food available outside as it can be contaminated and worsen your condition. You can prepare all the food you like at home. Gradually as your bilirubin levels come back to normal you can include simple fats like cream and butter, flaxseeds, canola oil and olive oil to your diet. Monounsaturated fats can be easily digested by the body. Before making any major dietary or lifestyle changes or change in your medications it is important to consult a health care specialist. This is because he or she knows your case the best and will be able to help you personally.

In adults, two of the most common causes of jaundice are viral liver infection known as hepatitis, and alcohol. Alcohol does not cause this condition unless it is abused. A hepatitis B vaccine is available and can prevent some cases of viral hepatitis. Many cases of jaundice cannot be prevented. Jaundice itself is not contagious and poses no risks to others. If viral hepatitis is the cause of the jaundice, it may or may not be contagious. The forms of hepatitis that are contagious are usually spread by sexual contact or sharing of needles, such as by intravenous drug users.

Child Care – What are Jaundice Symptoms in Newborn Babies? | Symptoms Of Jaundice | Child Jaundice Symptoms

The most obvious sign of jaundice is a yellow tinge to the skin and the whites of the eyes. The yellowing of the skin is usually first noticeable on the head and face, before spreading down the body. In people with dark skin, yellowing of the whites of the eyes is often more noticeable. If you have obstructive jaundice, your skin may be very itchy. Your urine will also probably be darker than usual, and your stools may be paler.Excess bilirubin in a newborn causes the yellowish or jaundiced color of the skin and eyes. Jaundice first appears in the infant’s face, especially noticeable in the eyes, and as bilirubin levels increase, the yellow color becomes evident on the rest of the body.

When you are jaundiced, your skin and the whites of your eyes are yellow. Sometimes, people who eat a lot of carrots or beta-carotene tablets take on a yellowish colour. This is called carotenemia, and can be easily distinguished from jaundice because the whites of the eyes don’t turn yellow. If a fever or flu-like illness comes before jaundice, it’s usually a sign of a viral hepatitis infection. Brown urine, common in hepatitis, is generally a sign of poor liver function or increased red blood cell destruction.

The body is trying to get rid of excess bilirubin in the urine. Pale, white, or clay coloured stool, on the other hand, is an indicator of obstruction in the gallbladder or bile ducts. Many people with obstruction due to gallstones experience abdominal pain, while those with obstruction due to tumours usually have painless jaundice.Jaundice itself is unlikely to hurt you unless the bilirubin reaches very high concentrations. It is a sign, however, of an underlying problem. There are too many possible causes of jaundice to attempt diagnosis at home. You should see a doctor if you think you have jaundice.

The main symptom is a yellow color of the skin. The yellow color is best seen right after gently pressing a finger onto the skin. The color sometimes begins on the face and then moves down to the chest, belly area, legs, and soles of the feet.Sometimes, infants with significant jaundice have extreme tiredness and poor feeding. In Zach’s case, the symptoms did not show up till 2 days after his birth, when his eyes and skin had a slightly yellowish tinge to them. As the days have gone by the yellow tinge has become more pronounced and he actually looks more orange than yellow now.

Yellowing of the eyes and skin is one of the conspicuous and obvious symptoms of this fatal disease. One can experience a kind of itchy feeling in his/her skin if he/she is affected by this disease. It has been observed that yellowing of skin starts from the face and then it pervades in every part of a person’s body. The first organ to show this symptom is the eyes.If a new born baby is affected by this disease the parent will observe that their baby is not eating properly and sleeping most of the time. Dark yellow urination and pale complexion are the two common symptoms of this disease.

Child Care – What are Jaundice Causes For Children? | Common Child Jaundice Causes | Causes Of Jaundice

Infants and children who suffer from autoimmune hepatitis may experience jaundice as a symptom. This disease affects the liver and causes liver inflammation leading to liver cell death. With autoimmune hepatitis, the child or infant’s immune system begins to attack their liver. Jaundice usually presents itself as severe cirrhosis sets in. Mental confusion, intestinal bleeding and swollen belly may also occur at this stage along with the jaundice.

This condition occurs in newborn infants and occurs when the common bile duct that is located between the small intestine and the liver is either absent or blocked. If this condition goes untreated it will eventually lead liver failure. Jaundice is a common symptom of this disease along with swollen abdomen, hardened large liver, dark urine and clay colored stools.

Blockage in the bile ducts because of irritation in the liver and gallstones cause jaundice. Jaundice is also caused because of hepatitis virus, typhoid, cancer, malaria, and anemia. Improper or short flow of the blood in the liver, tuberculosis, and yellow fever also lead to jaundice. It can be inborn, jaundice occurs when red blood corpuscles in able to function properly. It is also because of virus and blood sucking infections and when there is problem in the functioning of liver.

Crigler Najjar syndrome an inherited condition that impairs the specific enzyme responsible for processing bilirubin, resulting in an excess of bilirubin.Dubin Johnson syndrome an inherited form of chronic jaundice that prevents conjugated bilirubin from being secreted out of the liver’s cells.Pseudojaundice a harmless form of jaundice in which the yellowing of the skin results from an excess of beta carotene, not from an excess of bilirubin usually from eating lots of carrots, pumpkin, or melon.

The diseases that produce jaundice can be categorized by the major portion of the bilirubin pathway before the liver, in the liver, and after the liver. They can also be categorized by the type of bilirubin accumulating in the blood: unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia and conjugated hyperbilirubinemia.Unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia can be caused by hemolytic anemia, because rapid bursting of RBCs leads to overproduction of bilirubin. Hemolytic anemia in turn has many causes, including autoimmune hemolytic anemia, sickle cell disease, and malaria just to name a few. Rarely, defects in liver uptake of bilirubin and deficiency of the conjugating enzyme cause unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia

Acute inflammation of the liver may impair the ability of the liver to conjugate and secrete bilirubin, resulting in a buildup of bilirubin.Inflammation of the bile duct may prevent the secretion of bile and removal of bilirubin, causing jaundice.Obstruction of the bile duct prevents the liver from disposing of bilirubin, which results in hyperbilirubinemia.Production of bilirubin increases when large quantities of erythrocytes are broken down.Gilbert’s syndrome an inherited condition that impairs the ability of enzymes to process the excretion of bile.Cholestasis-a condition in which the flow of bile from the liver is interrupted. The bile containing conjugated bilirubin remains in the liver instead of being excreted.
