Vaccine:

A vaccine against swine influenza is being tested and will likely be available for the 2009-2010 influenza season. The vaccine will be given in two doses (shots). If there is a shortage of the vaccine, the CDC recommends that the following groups be vaccinated first: pregnant women, caregivers for infants under 6 months of age, health-care workers, people aged 6 months to 24 years of age, and people age 25-64 who have chronic health conditions. If there is not a shortage, the vaccine will be recommended for all people over 6 months of age.
